"I was drawn to the field of retina for various reasons. Retina is an intellectually challenging field with a spectrum of diseases that includes genetic disorders, inflammatory conditions, infections, tumors, trauma, vascular disorders, and more common diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Retina patients are also diverse, ranging in age from premature infants with retinopathy of prematurity to geriatric patients with age-related macular degeneration. Finally, I enjoy retinal surgeries because they are technically challenging and require a meticulous approach, but more importantly, because they give me the opportunity to help someone regain their vision. I have found that there is no greater reward than seeing the positive impact of your intervention.

"As a physician, I hope to provide care that incorporates the latest innovations with empathy and sensitivity. I value the trust placed upon us by our patients and hope to use my training and skills to deliver the highest quality of care."
